Men's Basketball: CCBC Essex Falls in MD JUCO Tourney

A poor first half led the Knights to lose at Prince George's Community College, 78-47.

 

Sophomore guard Sean Edwards scored 21 points but a tough first half proved too much for CCBC Essex, which lost at Prince George's Community College, 78-47, in the opening round of the MD JUCO tournament.

The Knights had a hard time from the opening tip-off as they fell behind, 22-6. CCBC Essex then pulled within 25-17 midway through the first half before Prince George's went into an intermission on a 23-3 run.

CCBC Essex is now 10-15 on the year. The Knights will play at Montgomery-Takoma Park on Feb. 25 before preparing for the Region XX tourney set for March 1-4 in Hagerstown.
