Middle River Crash Leaves 2 Dead, 3 Injured: Police

Police say a preliminary investigation revealed that a truck veered off the roadway before striking several trees and catching on fire.

MIDDLE RIVER, MD — Two people were killed and three others injured in a crash when a truck left the roadway and struck several trees before catching on fire in Middle River, Baltimore County Police said.

The crash took place just after 1 a.m. in the area of Eastern Avenue and Carroll Island Road.

Police said two passengers sitting in the back of the Dodge Ram were killed. Police identified the two victims as Michael Darnell Satchell Jr., 26 and Michael Jackson Jr., 15, both of Middle River. Both passengers were pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other passengers and the driver are being treated for serious injuries.
