Visions For Vacancies: Former Wendy's

Editor's Note: In a new weekly feature, Patch examines vacant buildings in the Essex-Middle River area while seeking feedback from readers on what they would like to see open in the community.

There are few reminders of what used to be a Wendy's restaurant on this 1.24 acre lot, located at 119 Beacon Road in Middle River.

The windows and doors are boarded up, the parking lot is cracked with weeds popping up in spots and the signs are blank.

Built in 1978, the one-time fast-food restaurant, owned by Victory Villa LLC, has been vacant for months, forgotten by many who now trek to Chick-Fil-A and a new McDonald's at nearby Martin Plaza.
