Lockdown At MoCo High School Lifted After Student Stabbed
Police first reported the lockdown shortly after 1:50 p.m. Wednesday.
GAITHERSBURG, MD — A lockdown at Watkins Mill High School in Gaithersburg has been lifted after a student was stabbed on campus, according to authorities and a report.
Just before 1:15 p.m., police and Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service crews responded to the school after a caller reported that a student was stabbed in the arm, Bethesda Magazine reported.
The school was placed on lockdown shortly after 1:50 p.m. In an update posted shortly before 2:30 p.m., police said officers were still at the scene, and the school was transitioning to a shelter in place.

At 3:20 p.m., police said Watkins Mill was no longer on lockdown and students had been dismissed for the day.
Montgomery County police are investigating the incident. The student was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
