2 Injured After Car Crashes Into House, Tree In Gaithersburg

An adult and child were transported to the hospital after their car left the roadway and struck an RV, a house and a tree in Gaithersburg.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — An adult and child were transported to the hospital after their car left the roadway and struck an RV, a house and a tree in Gaithersburg Monday morning, officials said.

The incident occurred in the 800 block of Diamond Dr. at about 9:45 a.m.

The SUV left the roadway, crossed through several yards and struck an RV and then a home, Montgomery County Fire & Rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer said.

The impact of the crash caused the RV to spin 180 degrees, Piringer said.

The driver apparently reversed and struck a tree before the car came to a stop.

The house was unoccupied at the time. The crash caused significant damage and a building inspector was requested.

The adult and child in the SUV were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
