Gordana Gerskovic Photography presents "City Skin"

Gaithersburg photographer Gordana Gerskovic exhibit, "City Skin," celebrating decay in nature, will be presented at Politics and Prose Bookstore in their Modern Times Coffeehouse.

“Vortex” Becomes Newest Public Art Installation in Gaithersburg

“Vortex” by Barton Rubenstein is the newest public art installation in Gaithersburg. A developer-funded project located at the Hidden Creek Residences, 430 Allied Place, “Vortex” joins a collection of public art that can be found scattered throughout the city. 

The Art in Public Places Program seeks to promote the arts, educate the public and create a sense of place and pride for the Gaithersburg community. 

“These very diverse and very intriguing works of art provide distinctive landmarks and symbols in our community,” said Arts and Events Director Denise Kayser. “From thought provoking modern works to classic sculptures, public art installations have the power to impact the hearts and minds of residents and visitors.”

27th Annual Juried Art Exhibition Comes to Kentlands Mansion

The city of Gaithersburg and the Gaithersburg Fine Arts Association (GFAA) present the 27th Annual Juried Art Exhibition, an exciting collection of unique multimedia works, at Kentlands Mansion from April 5 through June 2, 2013.  The public is invited to meet the artists at a free reception and awards ceremony on Tuesday, April 9 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.
