From The City of Gaithersburg: Learn about archaeology at Discovery Day at the Gaithersburg Community Museum on Saturday, February 4, 2017 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free and is open to visitors of all ages. No reservations are required. This program is presented by the Montgomery Parks Archaeology Office.
Take a glimpse into the world of archaeology with hands-on activities, including Site-In-A-Can, Tin Smithing, Marble Making, Seed Identification, and Ceramic Mending. Test your skills while learning what archaeology can teach us about the past.
Discovery Days stir the imagination and foster family involvement in a fun and stimulating environment.
The Gaithersburg Community Museum is located at 9 South Summit Avenue. Regular museum hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with additional hours by appointment.
