Gaithersburg Announces Road Improvement Projects

The city has announced two road projects for Victory Farms Farm Dr. and Hidden Field Dr. which includes street and crosswalk construction.

From Gaithersburg DPW: The City of Gaithersburg Department of Public Works announces two road improvement projects in April. Street reconstruction is scheduled for Victory Farm Drive and crosswalk replacement is scheduled for Hidden Field Drive.

The Victory Farm Drive project includes removal and replacement of deteriorated curb and sidewalk and the resurfacing of existing pavement between Saybrooke Oaks Boulevard and Girard Street. The curb and sidewalk replacement is anticipated to start the week of April 24 and will take about eight weeks. The resurfacing portion will follow. “No Parking” signs with the dates and times of parking restrictions will be posted at least 48 hours in advance of construction activity. Homeowners who plan to be away from home for any length of time during the construction period are asked to use off-street parking.

The crosswalk reconstruction project is anticipated to start on April 26 and continue for approximately two weeks. It includes removal and replacement of existing crosswalks on Hidden Field Drive and at the intersection of Sapling Hill Way.

Work on each of these projects will take place on weekdays between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., weather permitting. Status updates are available on the City of Gaithersburg website at www.gaithersburgmd.gov.
