An assault in Gaithersburg that sent one person to the hospital early Sunday was linked to an armed robbery the night before, according to Gaithersburg police. Officer Dan Lane said, a police spokesman, said arrests have been made in the string of incidents.  At around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, a person was assaulted by a group of males and one female near West Deer Park and Summit Hall Roads. Lane said one person was taken to the hospital. Lane said the victim was robbed by the same group at around 9:45 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Gold Kettle Drive.
