Gaithersburg Crime: 9 Residential Burglaries, 2 Sexual Assaults and More

The following information was provided by the Montgomery County Police Department. Arrests or charges do not indicate a conviction.

Montgomery County police released a crime summary for June 10-18. The following incidents were reported in Gaithersburg.

  • Several vehicle-related thefts occurred in both residential and commercial areas. Three incidents occurred on Cessna Avenue between Thursday, June 13, at 8:45 p.m. and Friday, June 14, at 6:30 a.m. where tools were taken. An incident occurred on Barkley Lane on Sunday, June 16, between midnight and 9:26 a.m. Another incident occurred on Dry Ridge Road between Monday, June 10 and Tuesday, June 11. A final incident occurred on Lorosa Drive between Tuesday, June 11 and Wednesday, June 12. Mostly electronics were taken in these incidents.
  • Two vehicle-related thefts occurred between 6 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, and 6 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, in the 17400 block of Founders Mill Drive. No signs of forced entry and electronics were taken.
  • An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 300 block of Saybrooke Drive on Tuesday, June 11, between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Nothing was taken.
  • A sexual assault occurred in the unit block of Goodport Court on Wednesday, June 12, at around 1:30 a.m. 
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 800 block of Flagler Drive on Wednesday, June 12, around 9:50 p.m. Entry to the home was not forced and property was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 17600 block of Towne Crest Drive between 7 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, and 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 15. Entry to the home was not forced and property was taken.
  • An attempted robbery occurred at the intersection of Contour Road and Tunstall Drive on Thursday, June 13, at 3:30 p.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and unsuccessfully attempted to obtain property.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 19300 block of Dunbridge Court on Thursday, June 13, between 4:50 p.m. and 8:14 p.m. Entry to the home was not forced and property was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 8200 block of Collingdale Way on Friday, June 14, between around 12 a.m. and 5 a.m. Entry to the home is unknown and property was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 20000 block of Hob Hill Way on Friday, June 14, between 1 a.m. and 3:30 a.m. Entry to the home was not forced and property was taken.
  • An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 19300 block of Dunbridge Court on Friday, June 14, between 12:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. There was an attempted forced entry to the home and nothing was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the unit block of Water Street on Friday, June 14, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Entry to the home was not forced and property was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 18300 block of Lost Knife Circle on Saturday, June 15, at 2:44 a.m. Entry to the home was not forced and nothing was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the 20100 block of Waringwood Way on Saturday, June 15, at around 1 p.m. Entry to the home is unknown and nothing was taken.
  • A residential burglary occurred in the hundred block of Napa Valley Drive on Saturday, June 15, at around 9:23 p.m. Entry to the home was not forced and property was taken.
  • A sexual assault occurred in the 17400 block of Beauvoir Boulevard on Sunday, June 16, at around 9 p.m. The suspect is known to the victim.
  • A theft from vehicle occurred in the 600 block of Suffield Drive on Monday, June 17, between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Entry to the vehicle was not forced and property was taken.
  • A strong-armed robbery occurred in the hundred block of Federal Court on Monday, June 17, at around 9:30 p.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and obtained property.
  • A commercial burglary occurred at Pollo a La Vista, located at 16905 Oakmont Avenue, between 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 18, and 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19. Entry to the business was forced and property was taken.
