Gaithersburg Crime: Domestic Assault In Lakeforest Mall Parking Lot, 8 Thefts From Vehicles and More

Montgomery County police released a crime summary for June 30-July 9. The following incidents were reported in Gaithersburg.

• A theft from a vehicle occurred in the 9200 block of Broadwater Drive between Monday, July 1, at 7 p.m. and Tuesday, July 2, at 7 a.m. Entry to the vehicle was not forced and property was taken.
• A theft from a vehicle occurred in the 20300 block of Swallow Point Road in Montgomery Village between Tuesday, July 2, at 8 p.m. and Wednesday, July 3, at 8:40 a.m. Entry to the vehicle was not forced and electronics were taken.
• An attempted theft from a vehicle occurred in the 400 block of West Diamond Avenue between Wednesday, July 3, and Friday, July 5. Nothing was taken.
• A theft from vehicle occurred in the 16000 block of Industrial Park Drive between Wednesday, July 3, at 6 p.m., and Monday, July 8, at 7 a.m. Entry to the vehicle was forced and assorted copper fittings and power tools were taken.
• A residential burglary occurred in the 18700 block of Falling River Drive in Montgomery Village between Wednesday, July 3, at noon, and Thursday, July 4, at 6 a.m. Entry to the home was not forced and property was taken.
• A theft from a vehicle occurred in the 700 block of Clifftop Drive on Thursday, July 4, between midnight and 2:20 p.m. A GPS, laptop, assorted computer equipment and a black bag were taken.
• An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 20100 block of Waringwood Way in Montgomery Village on Friday, July 5, at 4:15 p.m. There was an attempted forced entry and nothing was taken.
• A theft from a vehicle occurred in the 800 block of Center Point Way on Saturday, July 6, between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. Entry to the car was not forced and electronics were taken.
• A residential burglary occurred in the 9800 block of Meadowcroft Lane in Montgomery Village on Saturday, July 6, between 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. Entry to the home is unknown. The suspect attempted to remove property and was arrested.
• An aggravated assault occurred in the 19300 block of Montgomery Village Avenue, on Sunday, July 7, at 3:54 a.m. The suspect is known to the victim.
• An aggravated assault, domestic in nature, occurred on Sunday, July 7, at 6:40 p.m. in the parking lot of Lakeforest Mall, located at 701 Russell Avenue. The suspect is known to the victim.
• A theft from vehicle occurred in the 17600 block of Sequoia Drive between Sunday, July 7, at 9:30 p.m. and Monday, July 8, at 5:30 a.m. Entry to the vehicle was not forced and a GPS was taken.
• A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 18300 block of Lost Knife Circle on Monday, July 8, at 4:52 p.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and obtained property.
• A commercial burglary occurred at Urban Cuts, located at 12 North Summit Avenue, on Monday, July 8, at 11:20 a.m. Entry to the business was forced, and property was taken..
• A strong-arm robbery occurred in the 9900 block of Shelburne Terrace on Monday, July 8, around 11:30 p.m. The suspects assaulted the victim and obtained property.
• A theft from a vehicle occurred in the 18400 block of Lost Knife Circle between Monday, July 8, at 11 p.m. and Tuesday, July 9, at 6 a.m. Entry to the vehicle was forced, and vehicle parts were taken.
