Gaithersburg Teen Injured In Hit And Run At White Oak Intersection
A 19-year-old from Gaithersburg was seriously injured after a car hit him while he was in or near a crosswalk in White Oak, police said.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A 19-year-old from Gaithersburg was taken to the hospital with serious injuries after he was hit by a car while crossing the street in White Oak, Montgomery County Police said.
Authorities say the victim was crossing northbound Columbia Pike from east to west Thursday night when he was struck in or near the crosswalk by a 2014 Ford Fusion traveling north. The driver did not stop, police said.
Police found the Ford Fusion in the area, as well as the driver, according to the news release. Authorities did not say if the driver will face charges.

The intersection has a traffic light and detectives are investigating what color the light was when the collision happened, police said.
