Gaithersburg Townhouse Fire: 20 People Displaced, One Pet Missing
A fire early Wednesday morning left 20 people without a home, a Fire and Rescue spokesperson said. There was an estimated $750K in damage.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A two-alarm fire started in the basement of a Gaithersburg townhome around left 20 people from six units without a home Wednesday morning, after crews came in to fight the blaze around 3 a.m.
Nobody was injured, but one dog was still missing a few hours after the fire started, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Spokesperson Pete Piringer tweeted.
There was an estimated $750,000 in damage to the building, and another $250,000 worth of personal items lost in the fire, he said. The townhouses were in the 300 block of West Deer Park Road.
