Man Dies After Crashing Car Into Tree In Gaithersburg

Police said a fatal crash happened shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday in the 200 block of Perry Parkway in Gaithersburg.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A man died Tuesday after police said his car crashed into a tree in Gaithersburg.

According to Montgomery County authorities, police and fire rescue personnel responded to the 200 block of Perry Parkway shortly after 7 p.m. after receiving a call about a single-vehicle collision.

When authorities arrived, they located a Toyota Corolla that had crashed into a tree.

The 21-year-old male driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit is investigating the crash and more information will be provided as it becomes available. Police did not release the name of the victim pending notification of family.
