Masked, Armed Suspect Holds Up Gaithersburg Pawn Shop

The masked suspect entered the business, pointed a handgun at an adult male employee and demanded cash from First Cash Jewelry and Exchange.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — Police are searching for an armed robbery suspect who robbed a pawn store in Gaithersburg.

The incident occurred at about 6:58 p.m. at First Cash Jewelry and Exchange at 117 North Frederick Ave.

The masked suspect entered the business, pointed a handgun at an adult male employee and demanded cash, police said.

The employee complied with the suspects’ demands and the suspect fled the store on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect or has information about this robbery is asked to call the Major Crimes Division; Robbery Section at 240-773-5100.
