Man Shot To Death In Southeast DC, $25K Reward Offered For Tips
A Gaithersburg man was found shot to death on Newcomb Street in Washington, D.C., police said. A reward of $25K is offered for leads.
GAITHERSBURG, MD — A Gaithersburg man was shot to death early Saturday in the 500 block of Newcomb Street, Southeast, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
Alex Alexander, 31, of Gaithersburg, was found suffering from gunshot wounds about 12:23 a.m. in the 500 block of Newcomb Street, Southeast, a police news release said. Officers at the scene reported Alexander was unconscious and not breathing.
DC Fire and EMS found no signs of life, and Alexander was pronounced dead.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call police at (202) 727-9099 or text a tip to the DC department's text tip line at 50411.
The Metropolitan Police Department currently offers a reward of up to $25,000 to anyone who provides information which leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for a homicide committed in the District of Columbia.
