Neighborhood Improvement Grants Awarded to 20 Communities

Gaithersburg, MD – (August 16, 2016). Twenty neighborhood and homeowner associations were awarded a total of $66,165 through the City of Gaithersburg Frederick J. Felton Neighborhood Matching Grant Program. The program provides an incentive for neighborhood organizations to improve their communities by awarding matching grants of up to $5,000. The Mayor and City Council approved the following grants at their meeting on August 15, 2016:

Fernshire Farms HOA Landscaping $5,000

Hyde Park Phase IIA Landscaping $4,000

Kentlands Citizen Assembly Fencing $2,500

Kentlands Citizen Assembly Tree Plantings $2,500

Kentlands Condominium Landscaping $2,000

Lakelands Community Assoc. Landscaping $5,000

Lakelands Ridge HOA Erosion Control $4,065

Orchard Place Signage $3,000

Quine Orchard Park Condo I Landscaping $4,500

Quince Orchard Park HOA Landscaping $4,000

Rosemont Citizen Assoc. Community Newsletter $350
