Marie—a restaurant featuring American Cajun Creole cuisine, a full bar, live weekend entertainment from local jazz and blues bands, to karaoke night—is coming to Lakeforest Mall, according to a news release. The restaurant relocated from Hyattsville, MD, in order to move closer to the majority of its customers, who were mostly traveling from Montgomery County, according to the release. "The space at Lakeforest Mall was the perfect opportunity for us, ideal in size and an ideal location to serve diverse clientele with adventurous palates," Jeaneva Fox, managing partner at Fox Restaurant Group, said in a statement. Fox Restaurant Group owns the restaurant. J. Marie will take over the 4,665-square-foot space at the Lakeforest Mall entrance between Sears and Macy's, on the upper level. The restaurant plans to open the week of June 24, according to the release.
