Poke Bowl Restaurant Opens In Gaithersburg
The restaurant in Rio Washingtonian Center features build-your-own bowl options.

GAITHERSBURG, MD — A new restaurant specializing in the Hawaiian dish poke opened its doors in Gaithersburg Saturday.
Poki DC's first Maryland location opened in Gaithersburg's Rio Washingtonian Center at 236 Boardwalk Pl.
At the fast-casual eatery, people build their own bowls with ingredients that are traditionally used to make sushi.

First, customers chose a base for their bowl: sushi rice, brown rice with quinoa, zucchini noodles or organic spring mix. Next comes the protein: ahi tuna, salmon, yellowtail, spicy tuna, organic tofu and more. Toppings include avocado, cilantro, mango, seaweed salad and more.
For a limited time, customers can get a free Mochi ice cream or cup of miso soup when they check-in at the restaurant on Facebook or Yelp.
