Police Seek Missing Walter Reed Employee

GAITHERSBURG, MD — Police are searching for a missing Gaithersburg man who works at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda.

Pouwedeo Faranda, 30, was scheduled to report to work at 5 a.m. Tuesday. He spoke with his supervisor on the phone at about 5:45 a.m., but never reported to work, police said. Family and friends have not had contact with Faranda either.

Police describe Faranda as a black male, 5′4″ and weighs 135 pounds.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Faranda is urged to call 9-1-1.
