Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids Opens In Gaithersburg On Muddy Branch Road
Children's hair salon chain "Sharkey's" now has a location open in Gaithersburg, the Chamber of Commerce announced.
GAITHERSBURG, MD — Kids who don't like getting a haircut may have a change of heart at "Sharkey's," a barber designed exclusively for children.
Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids is a national chain that just opened a Gaithersburg location on Muddy Branch Road, the Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce announced.
"Their mission is to create an entertaining experience for kids by providing a superior haircut with warm, experienced stylists in a meticulously clean and sanitized place filled with fun not found in other kid’s salons," the news release from the Gaithersburg-Germantown Chamber of Commerce says. "At Sharkey's, all haircuts come with a wash, cut, blow-dry, fun cars or gaming stations, choice of videos, mini-cures, lollipops, and a balloon."

Sharkey's says it provides cuts for kid up to 14 and aims to create a fun environment for kids to get their hair cut. The first salon opened in 2002 — now there are locations all across the county.
