GAITHERSBURG, MD — A woman and a 3-year-old girl were hospitalized Friday night following a shooting in Gaithersburg, police said. According to Montgomery County police, officers responded to the 8300 block of McCullough Lane around 8:50 p.m. after receiving a call about a shooting. Upon arrival, police said officers secured the scene and located several pieces of evidence. During the investigation, officers learned that the woman and child were taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds. Police did not release information about the relationship of the victims. Currently, there is no suspect in custody. The investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
