'Best for Vets' Honor For Prince George's County Police

'The Military Times' honored the department for accommodating practices and culture.

The Prince George’s County Police Department is recognized as one of the top seven on the “Best for Vets: Law Enforcement 2015” list.

The Military Times sent out surveys to law enforcement agencies across the country in order to rank them. Each participating department answered over 90 questions analyzing the military recruiting, service policies, reservist rules, and departmental culture.

Out of the agencies that completed the survey, only 24 were ranked on the list. Prince George’s County Police Department was among seven of those departments that got special recognition for having the most accommodating practices and environments for veterans.
