Thursday's dreary day of rain made me crave one thing, Italian ice and there's no place better to get it than Rita's Italian Ice. I had not discovered Rita's until I moved here one year ago. My favorite is to mix the mango ice with the cherry ice, although it can be a bit sweet and ice-headache worthy - not for the faint of heart. I'm also a huge fan of custard, it is much creamier and richer than ice cream and I always go for the chocolate flavor. So check out the locations in and the newer one in for hint of spring in every bite.
