Great Escape: Cooking Together

I may not be a parent myself, but from what I've observed there are good days and there are bad days, no matter what age your kids are.

Sometimes moms and dads need to escape. Why not give the kids a role and let them help make dinner or dessert one night during the week?

When I was kid, my mom put me in charge of stirring the homemade spaghetti sauce so that it wouldn't burn. I then graduated to making the salad and finally, I was able to make a whole meal by the time I was in high school. Cooking became a passion.

Cooking with your kids can help foster respect for all that you do each day and teach them new responsibilities, plus they may just love it.
