PG County Master Gardeners Plant Clinics at Farmers Markets

'Ask a Master Gardener' plant clinic offers free advice on lawn care, growing flowers and veggies, & help with plant problems.

Prince George’s County Master Gardeners will be at farmers markets during the rest of the summer holding free “Ask a Master Gardener” plant clinics.

Residents can stop by to ask questions about flowers, herbs, vegetables, shrubs, lawns, or trees, or to pick up garden information. Master gardeners suggest that residents who suspect there’s a problem with a plant bring a photo of the plant – or bring a snip of the plant – and of any insect they see on it. Master gardeners also can advise on lawn care, weed and pest control, houseplant care, fertilizing and more garden subjects.

Bowie: Aug. 19, Sept. 16, 8 a.m. to noon, in the Bowie High School parking lot,15200 Annapolis Road., Bowie, 20715.

Cheverly: Sept. 8, Oct. 6, 8 a.m. to noon, at the Cheverly Community Center, 6401 Forest Road, Cheverly, 20785

Riverdale Park third Thursday of the month through September, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., Riverdale Park Town Center, 6220 Rhode Island Ave., Riverdale, 20737 (next to the MARC railroad station).
