Prince George's County Welcomes New Officers
Sixty-seven new officers were added to the Prince George's County Police Department in Thursday night's ceremony.
The streets of Prince George's County are about to become 67-stronger in law enforcement after the induction of new graduates from the Training and Education Division's Police Academy Session #117.
Police Chief Roberto L. Hylton and other county public safety officials helped usher in the new recruits at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden Worship Center in Upper Marlboro Thursday night.
Of the graduates, 64 will be new county police officers and three will join the Baltimore City Schools Police Force.

In Hylton's graduation speech, he urged new recruits to perform their duties with professionalism, compassion and enthusiasm. He also said, "As you take your oath this evening, be assured that you are equipped with the tools necessary to fulfill your commitment and carry out our mission with unwavering strength and courage."
