What's Up with the Green Line: Weekend of June 24 through June 26

It will be a quiet weekend for Green Liners, except for those transferring to the Red, Orange, Blue and Yellow Lines.

Metro has no weekend work scheduled for the Green Line. But if you're transferring to the Red, Orange, Blue and Yellow lines, there is work slated to happen. It will begin around 10:00 p.m. Friday, June 24, and continue through closing on Sunday, June 26, except for the Grosvenor-Strathmore and Twinbrook stations work, which is scheduled to begin at 9:30 p.m. Friday.

Red Line

Red Line trains will share one track between the Grosvenor-Strathmore and Twinbrook stations while Metro performs platform rehabilitation work at White Flint and Twinbrook stations.

Orange and Blue Lines

Orange and Blue Line trains will share one track between Eastern Market and Stadium Armory stations as Metro replaces rail fasteners.

Metro advises Blue and Orange Line customers to allow about 20 minutes of additional travel time.

Yellow Line

Yellow Line trains will share one track between the Pentagon City and L’Enfant Plaza stations as Metro personnel replace rail and install communications cable.
