$50K In Damage Caused By Bedroom Fire At Joppa Home
A fire broke out shortly after noon Friday at a Joppa home. The state fire marshal has estimated loss at $50,000.

JOPPA, MD — Shortly after noon Friday, a fire broke out at a two-story single family home located in the 200 block of Garnett Road in Joppa.
Almost three dozen firefighters from the Joppa Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company arrived at the home and gained control of it within 10 minutes, according to the Maryland Office of the State Fire Marshal.
The fire was discovered by a resident of the home in a bedroom and the fire will be investigated, the fire marshal's office stated.
