Cocaine Distributed From HdG Restaurant, Employees Charged: Harford Drug Task Force
Some employees of Abbey Burger restaurant in Havre de Grace were arrested after authorities received tips that cocaine was being sold there.
HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Several arrests have been made in connection to a suspected drug ring distributing cocaine from a Havre de Grace restaurant, police report.
Detectives from the Harford County Drug Task Force began an investigation in September 2024 into reports of cocaine sales at the Abbey Burger Havre de Grace restaurant at 226 N. Washington St. The sheriff's office said it had received anonymous tips that drugs were being used and sold from within the business.
Detectives saw multiple employees of the business selling and using drugs while on the job and one employee sold cocaine to an undercover officer. On five separate occasions, cocaine was sold to undercover officers inside the business and three of these sales were made by the employees while they were working at the restaurant, detectives said in a news release.

Court-issued search warrants were served Jan. 30 for Abbey Burger and the home of suspect Michael Wade, located in the 1300 block of Philadelphia Boulevard in Aberdeen. Investigators found cocaine in amounts indicating an intent to distribute, evidence of drug distribution and cash known to be from drug sales, according to the sheriff's office.
During the search at Abbey Burger Havre de Grace, cocaine and other drug evidence was found in the possession of employees or within employee property, the sheriff's office said.

Two suspects were arrested, charged and taken to the Harford County Detention Center:
- Michael Wade, 42, of Aberdeen, charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine and five counts of distribution of cocaine
- Markeshia Freeman, 32, of Aberdeen, charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine, possession of cocaine, assuming the identity of another to avoid identification, false statement to a peace officer and obstructing/hindering a police officer in the performance of their lawful duties.
Suspects charged via criminal summons were:
- Tracey McCoy-Soper 52, of Port Deposit, charged with cocaine and other drug possession
- Heather Graham 42, of Elkton, charged with cocaine possession
- Tyrece Exum, 37, of Havre de Grace, charged with cocaine possession
- William Carter, 63, of Aberdeen, charged with cocaine possession
