The ceremony will take place inside Havre de Grace Council Chambers this Thursday at 10 a.m.
HAVRE DE GRACE, MD—Havre de Grace and Aberdeen city officials will hold a ceremony in the Havre de Grace Council Chambers this Thursday at 10 a.m. to celebrate the signing of the recent water agreement between the two cities.
Anyone wishing to attend the ceremony is asked to follow all guidelines and requirements posted at the entrance to city hall, including wearing a face covering and practicing social distancing.
Aberdeen City Manager Randy Robertson told The Baltimore Sun last year that as part of the agreement, Havre de Grace will sell Aberdeen 500,000 gallons a day at a rate of $4 per 1,000 gallons. With Havre de Grace providing water services, he said Aberdeen will save between $120,000 to $125,000 a year and will longer be dependent on Harford County for it.
