Havre de Grace Crime: Assault With Sword, Thefts

Stokes Street and Pennington Avenue, 9:39 p.m. on August 12. Brian Charles Wing, 50, of the 300 block of South Stokes Street, was arrested on a warrant for failure to appear.
Mohegan Drive, 1600 block, 8:35 p.m. on August 11. The driver’s side front window was broken out of a 1995 Jeep, resulting in $200 in damage. No items were taken.

Willow Way, 300 block, 12:35 p.m. on August 11. A GPS was stolen from a vehicle.
Girard Street, 500 block, 3:21 a.m. on August 11. Galvez Jifez Sheppard, 34, of the 500 block of Congress Avenue, was arrested and charged with assault and breaking and entering. Police said Sheppard broke into a residence and began punching a man who was sleeping.

Pennington Avenue, 700 block, 11:55 p.m. on August 10. Darl Michael Gnau Jr., 37, of the unit block of Roger Valley Court in Parkville, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault. The arrest took place at Gnau’s residence.
St. John Street, 500 block, 10:01 a.m. on August 10. A $600 kayak and $20 cable were reported stolen from the American Legion. The incident took place about a month prior.
Stokes Street, 500 block, 7:48 on August 10. Lewis William Curtis, 25, of the 800 block of Ohio Street, was arrested and charged with second-degree assault. Curtis allegedly fought another man and injured him with a ceremonial display sword in an incident that began as a domestic altercation.
St. John Street, 400 block, 12:24 a.m. on August 10. Travis Darnell Bishop, 29, of the 700 block of Otsego Street, was arrested on a warrant and charged with first-degree assault, second-degree assault and failure to stop at the scene of an accident involving injury. The victim received minor scrapes and bruises on her arm, leg and feet in the incident, which took place on Aug. 4.
