Arrests

  • Anthony James Coffey, 34, of the 7900 block of New Battle Grove Road in Baltimore was arrested Feb. 10 on a warrant out of Pennsylvania for assault and various other charges. The subject—who goes by the aliases of Cash, JC, or Jamie—was also charged locally with giving false statements to a police officer. Officers initially had conducted a traffic stop, when they learned the passenger of the vehicle was wanted.
  • A 15-year-old male and a 14-year-old male were arrested in an ongoing incident involving three students at Havre de Grace High School. The school resource officer assigned to the school in the 700 block of Congress Avenue investigated a claim that the victim had been bullied, assaulted and harassed numerous times. As a result of the investigation, two juveniles were charged. The 15-year-old male was charged with harassment and second-degree assault. The 14-year-old was charged with harassment.
  • A 17-year-old male from Havre de Grace arrested in the evening of Feb. 9 and charged with second-degree assault. The incident stemmed from a fight on a school bus. Officers responded to the area of Hutchins Court and Heather Way. There were no injuries.

Police Log

  • Officers responded to the 100 block of Commerce Street in the afternoon of Feb. 10 in reference to a report of phone lines that had been cut. Upon arrival, officers observed damage to phone lines. The victim felt the act was retaliation based upon a decision from a legal proceeding. Officers are continuing the investigation, but have no suspects at this time.
  • Officers responded to the 100 block of Deaver Street in the evening of Feb. 8 for a report of noise coming from someone’s back yard. Upon arrival, officers found nothing.
  • Officers responded to the Weis Market in the 900 block of Pulaski Highway in the evening of Feb. 8 in reference to a shoplifter in custody. Officers arrived and found that the suspect had stolen a bottle of over-the-counter medication valued at $6. The business opted not to pursue charges in the matter.
  • Chiquitta Marie Jones, 46, of the 500 block of Otsego Street was arrested on an active warrant through the Baltimore County Sheriff’s Office for failure to appear. The female subject entered the police station in the evening of Feb. 8 to turn herself in to police.
