HHS Senior Football Players Honor Their Favorite HdG Teachers

Football players honored their teachers with special presentations.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — Several student-athletes at Havre de Grace High School gave their teachers a special gift Thursday morning.

As part of an initiative called "My Jersey, Your Impact," a group of senior football players gave their jerseys to teachers who made an impact on their lives.

These teachers will represent the students by wearing the jerseys on Friday during Senior Night.

Here are the football players and teachers who were honored with jerseys:

  • No. 55 — Alex Day and Mrs. Heckman (Havre de Grace Middle School)
  • No. 3 — Braydyn Malloy and Ms. Heller (Havre de Grace High School)
  • No. 1 — Chase Hunt and Ms. Smith (Havre de Grace High School)
  • No. 11 — Damon Presberry and Ms. Sansalone (Havre de Grace High School)
  • No. 14 — Jackson Briggs and Mrs. Christian (Havre de Grace High School)

The "My Jersey, Your Impact" program is debuting at school districts outside Harford County as well, from Iowa to Nebraska to New York to South Carolina.
