House Fire In Darlington Breaks Out: Fire Marshal

A house fire near Darlington resulted in a road closure Monday afternoon.

HARFORD COUNTY, MD — A house fire that broke out Monday afternoon has resulted in a road closure in the Darlington area, officials said.

Fire was reported in the 1600 block of Whiteford Road after 3 p.m., according to the Whiteford Volunteer Fire Company.

Investigators with the fire marshal's office said they were investigating the cause, and no injuries were reported.

Whiteford Road was closed between Castleton Road and Deerfield Road, according to the Darlington Volunteer Fire Company.

As of 5:25 p.m., officials said Whiteford Road/MD 136 remained closed.
