We asked Havre de Grace residents where they’d take their long-weekend lodgers. Here’s a list of the best eats and awesome activities in your neighborhood:

  • "To eat: Laurrapin and Tidewater Grille / For drinks and catch a good game: Bill Batemans / Wine: Mt Felix and The Vineyard Wine Bar"
  • "Definitely the Pier and Lighthouse (weather permitting)."
  • "I visit my sister a lot. Downtown HdG is a great place. Lots of restaurants, unique shops & the park down by the Bay is beautiful. And don't forget Mt Felix Winery. The owners are wonderful & the view from the patio out back is just gorgeous."
  • "Bayou for delicious crab cakes and than a stroll on the boardwalk"
  • "Laurrapin is a small fresh from the farm family owned restaurant that's great!! Ice cream and candy at Bomboy's. Take a stroll down the pier- the little food place there is great if you want to sit outside!- Pramemade! The coffee shop Concord Point Coffee has a to die for Black Forest Latte. You can grab a few sweets across the street"
  • "Susquehanna State Park"
  • "The Vineyard Wine bar is excellent if you like original cuisine, even if you don't get their notable wines. They have a separate room with couches and a fireplace you can reserve for an intimate "at home" feel."
  • "Definitely walk along the promenade- beautiful and free. Lunch or dinner at Vineyard wine bar or Tidewater Grill or Laurrapin restaurant. And everyone loves Bomboy's for ice cream."
  • "When my sister comes to town, she likes to go to The Tidewater."
  • "Sam's Deli definitely, macgregors for a sit down, the laurrapin is ok but people need to know its menu is on a schedule type of thing so if you want steak on a specific night your out of luck at that restaurant."
