Baltimore network TV affiliate features Havre de Grace businesses as part of Small Business Saturday coverage, promoting local businesses

WJZ-TV featured Havre de Grace in a news report this weekend as part of the network affiliate's coverage of Small Business Saturday.
The video featured and and WJZ spoke with Havre de Grace Marketing & Tourism Manager Brigitte Peters in its report.
Havre de Grace Tourism began a "Think Local First" campaign in 2008 to support area businesses.

"We live in a community that is a richly rewarding destination," Peters said in a release. "The goal of Small Business Saturday is to remind everyone to Think Local First, think about all the wonderful unique shopping, dining, and extended stays that can be created in Havre de Grace."
Havre de Grace offers a wide array of small businesses, versus the chain stores that occupy the communities surrounding it.

"The city offers a wide variety of experiences and activities for tourists and Harford County citizens alike," Mayor Wayne Dougherty said. "The vitality of the businesses in Havre de Grace is an important aspect of tourism."
