• John Raymond 'Jack' Gibson, 76, (smnewsnet.com) — Huntingtown is mourning the passing of lifelong resident John Raymond “Jack” Gibson, 76, who died at home on November 27 after a long career with the U.S. Census Bureau. A Calvert High graduate who loved gardening and local boardwalk walks, he is survived by extended family, and friends are encouraged to honor him with donations to the Huntingtown Volunteer Fire Department.

• Kathleen 'Kathy' Ann Carriere, 78, (smnewsnet.com) — Huntingtown residents are mourning the passing of 78-year-old Kathleen “Kathy” Ann Carriere, a longtime Calvert County resident who died November 29 at an assisted living facility in Owings. Born in Kansas City and later working decades in Washington, D.C., she eventually settled in Calvert County and leaves behind daughters in Gaithersburg and Huntingtown, several grandchildren, and her sister Margaret “Peggy” Lewis.
