Heritage Financial Consultants, LLC Adds Jay Spies To The Firm

Hunt Valley, Md. (June 29, 2023) – Heritage Financial Consultants, LLC today announced that Jay Spies has joined the organization as a financial planning professional in the Hunt Valley, MD office.

Jay began his career in 2008, working as a financial consultant at Waddell & Reed, before transitioning to MML Investment Services LLC in 2011, where he has been for the last 12 years. His focus has been on crafting long-range comprehensive strategies for his physician clients, who span 41 states. His focused approach to the physician market has allowed him to develop unique and personalized strategies that benefit his clients and that help them nurture their growing assets as they mature in their careers.

Jay brings other financial planning background to Heritage, centered around risk management and insurance, investment management, 401k plans, brokerage accounts, and higher education funding. Jay is thrilled to join an established group in Heritage.

In his free time, Jay spends quality time with his wife Kristi, and his two children, Harper and Mason, and dedicates his spare time preparing to open his brewery, “Auger Brewing”, located in York, Pennsylvania, in the fall of 2023. He is also actively involved in the Rotary Club of York.

Jay received a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland College Park and went on to earn a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Baltimore School of Public Policy, as well as a Juris Doctorate from the University of Baltimore School of Law.
