Rita's Special Is Early Sign of Spring

When Rita's stores open, you know warmer weather is just around the corner.

And recently, the store at Shawan Plaza Shopping Center opened its window for business. After being closed for the winter, the outdoor tables are once again set up. And there's a season-opener special: Sundaes with unlimited toppings.

Chris Ambrose, a sophomore at Stevenson University was working the counter this week. He said customers have mostly been ordering the sundaes since the store opened last weekend.

There are Fruity Pebbles, nuts and a variety of other goodies to top the frozen custard sundaes, Ambrose said.

There are also Italian ices, Oreo custard sandwich cookies, milkshakes and more.
