Patch is sponsoring a bake-off Saturday, Dec. 11 at the Riverdale Park Holiday Market and Festival of Lights. Anyone can enter the bake-off and compete for the "crowd-favorite" dessert or the "editor's pick" dessert. Contestants should enter their already baked desserts by 1 p.m. Look for the Patch table and enter the dessert there. Desserts should be baked in two 9" by 13" baking dishes. The entries will be cut into bite-sized pieces for market shoppers to taste. Shoppers will vote for one winner and another winner will be picked by Patch editors. The crowd pleaser will win a gift card to a local business, while the editor's favorite will get a gift card to Starbucks. The winners and their recipes will be featured in a Patch story this holiday season. The winner will be picked around 4 p.m. Winner must be present to win.
