Woman killed after crash on Annapolis Road near BW Parkway (shorenewsnetwork.com) — A woman has died after a two-car crash Friday morning in the unincorporated Hyattsville area near Annapolis Road and the BW Parkway, and county police are still piecing together what happened. Investigators say a westbound vehicle crossed into oncoming traffic, fatally injuring 49-year-old Laura Johnson of Laurel, and they’re asking anyone who saw the collision to contact detectives.
   

2. Maryland Men Plead Guilty In Multi-Million-Dollar Money Laundering Conspiracy (thebaynet.com) — A Hyattsville man is among two Maryland residents who pleaded guilty in a sweeping money-laundering scheme that moved more than $11 million in fraud proceeds from government and business victims. Federal prosecutors say the Hyattsville defendant admitted direct involvement in at least $3 million in laundering, with sentencing set for spring 2026 and several co-conspirators already imprisoned and ordered to pay restitution.
