Margo Jeanty, a Northwestern High School senior, was <a href="http://www1.pgcps.org/communications/scholarinterior.aspx?id=176841" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">highlighted this week as Prince George's County Public Schools "Scholar of the Week."</a> Although her 4.1 GPA may have a lot to do with why Jeanty was chosen, it may also be due to her vast amount of extracurriculars—band, soccer, softball, Mentors Care, Book Club, University of Maryland Astronomy Program for High School Students, Leadership Cares, National Honor Society, Math Honors Society— and her love of helping others. She mentors and tutors others and finds great satisfaction in doing so. Jeanty was accepted into UMBC and the Honors College Program and University of Maryland.
