On Saturday night the Hyattsville City Police Department investigated two crimes that appear to be related. The first burglary occurred in the 5700 block of Jamestown Road about 10 p.m. An unknown suspect entered a first floor window of a residence in this area, but was scared away by two occupants of the home.   The second burglary happened in the Kirkwood apartment complex where an unknown suspect again entered a residence through a first floor window. In this case, the suspect attacked two females inside. Police are reminding residents to to lock their doors and windows at night.   If you have any information about these crimes, or if you see anyone or anything suspicious in your neighborhood, contact the Hyattsville City Police Department at 301-985-5060.
