Ikea Recall: LYDA Jumbo Tea Cups
In fact, the hot beverage cups can shatter when filled with hot beverages.

So much for Swedish design.
IKEA is warning customers not to put tea or coffee into their LYDA jumbo tea/coffee cups.
The cups can break when hot liquids are poured into them, according to the recall alert.

No one in the United States has reported an injury as a result of the white, porcelain-looking drinkware shattering, but worldwide there have been 20 “incidents” reported, according to US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). Ten of those have been scalding injuries.
About 11,000 cups have been sold in the United States; the 20-ounce, white cups are four inches tall, white and have a pink rose and green leaves as decoration.

Printed on the bottom of the cups: Model number 302.033.7; Supplier number 10866; the IKEA logo; and the words “IKEA of Sweden Design and Quality,” and “Made in Thailand.”
If you're thinking about taking to Craigslist or eBay, the CPSC warns, "It is illegal to resell or attempt to resell a recalled consumer product."
Instead, just return your LYDA jumbo cups to the nearest IKEA store for a full refund.
