Kensington Athlete Ranks Nationally For College Lacrosse
Walter Johnson alumnus Alex Schiponi ranked for his face-off win percentage with The College of Saint Rose men's lacrosse team.
Kensington resident has emerged as a lacrosse star at The College of Saint Rose in Albany after ranking nationally in two categories.
The alumnus ranked 26th nationally in Division II men's lacrosse athletes for his .497 (75-for-151) face-off win percentage, according to a college press release.
As a freshman, Schiponi led the team with 60 ground balls at a 4.62 per game average which was ranked 21st nationally, the college reported. He started in three games this spring and played in 13 games.

Schiponi earned his first collegiate point when Saint Rose played Dominican College on March 20.
The Golden Knights won their final two games finishing the season 7-6.
