Kensington Crime: Burglaries and Thefts From Vehicle Reported

The following information was supplied by the Montgomery County Police Department. The mention of arrests or charges does not indicate a conviction.

The has released a summary of major crimes occurring in the first and second district between March 12 and March 21. The following crimes in Kensington and White Flint were included in the summary:

  • A residential burglary was reported in the 11100 block of Stillwater Avenue in Kensington on March 13 at 4 a.m.  Police said there was forced entry and property taken.
  • An attempted residential burglary was reported in the 5000 block of Orleans Court in Kensington on March 13 at 9:30 p.m.  Police said the suspect attempted to enter the home, but failed and nothing was taken.
  • A number of thefts were also reported from vehicles in the White Flint area overnight on March 16. Police said in most situations the cars were unlocked.
    • Sometime between 7:00 p.m. on March 16 to 7:00 a.m. on March 17 in the 12100 block of Putnam Road, a resident reported their wallet was taken.
    • Also between 6:00 p.m. on March 16 and 8:44 a.m on March 17, CDs were taken from a car in the 5000 block of Macon Road.
