Washington Gas Investigates Gas Odor in Kensington
WSSC is taking samples of the water to investigate the cause, a fire official said.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue (MCFR) was called to the scene for the smell of gasoline in Kensington Tuesday evening, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Assistant Chief Scott Graham.
MCFR officials were dispatched to the 2000 block of McComas Avenue around 8:20 p.m. after an odor of gasoline caught the attention of residents, Graham added. Although residents report the odor was notable through the 3000 block of McComas as well.
He said that officials could not identify the source of the odor.

"Maybe someone poured gas in the storm drain while working on a car," Graham said.
Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission is investigating the cause of the gas odor, he added.
