The annual Child Care Fair will be held Feb. 26 at the North Laurel Community Center from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
HOWARD COUNTY, MD — The annual Child Care Fair will be held Saturday, Feb. 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the North Laurel Community Center, located at 9411 Whiskey Bottom Road in Laurel (masks are required). While admission is free, attendees are encouraged to bring a nonperishable food item or unopened pack of diapers or wipes to donate to the Howard County Food Bank.
Coordinated by Howard County’s Department of Community Resources and Services’ Office of Children and Families, the Child Care Fair provides parents, guardians, grandparents and child care personnel with a “one stop shop” for information on child care, preschool and summer programs, as well as access to early child care teachers and program directors.
Representatives from OCF and community service organizations that offer programs and services to Howard County’s young children will be on hand to share resources and information. The event also will feature free information sessions on “How to Choose an Early Childhood Program” at 11 a.m., noon and 1 p.m.
Although not required, preregistration is highly recommended so event organizers can contact attendees in case of inclement weather on the day of the event.
