Free Trees Available From Howard Hughes and Arbor Day Foundation

Help lower energy costs, filter air and water, reduce storm water, and green our neighborhoods by planting trees in the right locations

Through a partnership with the Arbor Day Foundation’s Community Canopy program, Howard Hughes Holdings is giving away 300 trees to help residents lower energy costs, filter air and water, reduce storm water and green our neighborhoods. This is an offer exclusively for Howard County residents. While supplies last, residents can reserve up to two free trees at www.arborday.org/howardhughes.

On this site, you can use the online tool to determine the ideal location in your yard to plant your new free tree(s) for maximum savings on your energy bill. In exchange for the free tree(s), you will be asked to plant them in the location identified in the online tool and to provide ongoing tree care. Your potted tree(s) will be shipped directly to your house, ready for planting at no charge, courtesy of Howard Hughes.
